The word “adaptogenic” applies more to plants such as ashwagandha or rhodiola: hence the name adaptogenic mushrooms and plants. No, no psychotropic effect at all. Our formulas contain no psilocybin. Three families should be told apart: culinary mushrooms (button mushroom, cep), medicinal mushrooms (Chaga, Cordyceps, Lion's Mane, Reishi) and hallucinogenic mushrooms. Mush n Go works only with the second, presented on our mushrooms.

Each species has its field. Lion's Mane is studied in connection with memory and concentration, Cordyceps in connection with energy and endurance, Reishi in connection with relaxation and sleep, Chaga and Oyster mushroom in connection with antioxidant properties and natural defences. They are food supplements: they complete a good lifestyle, they do not replace it.

Five mushrooms. Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus), the brain mushroom, grows on hardwood trunks. Chaga (Inonotus obliquus), the “diamond of the forest”, develops on birches in Siberia and North Asia. Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), the “mushroom of immortality”, has been revered in traditional Chinese medicine for more than 2,000 years. Cordyceps, “brown gold”, comes from the Himalayas, from China, Tibet and Nepal. Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) grows on dead wood.

On Lion's Mane, a clinical trial observed an improvement in cognition in adults with mild cognitive impairment (PubMed 18844328), and animal work looked at its erinacines (29951133). On Reishi, studies on neurons, anxiety and sleep (28761429, 28008811); on Cordyceps, a trial on exertion in older subjects (20804368) and general reviews (9884180); on Chaga (25746615) and the oyster mushroom (36009288), work on antioxidants and cholesterol.
